Restart St. Pete

COVID-19 has taken an unprecedented toll on our residents, commerce, and activity in the City of St. Petersburg. While COVID-19 continues to pose a threat, early actions and social distancing have helped to mitigate the worst of this public health crisis locally.
 
Restart St. Pete is a resource that aims to provide residents, businesses and visitors the most recent and relevant information related to St. Pete’s restart.

Coronavirus Relief Fund

The Coronavirus Relief Fund provides grants of up to $8,000 to eligible homeowners who are currently unemployed or underemployed as a result of COVID-19 and have fallen past due with mortgage payments or other living expenses and/or are in jeopardy of future payment delinquency due to lost or diminished income.

Assistance is available for the following expenses:

  • Mortgage Payments
  • Homeowners Association Fees
  • Electric
  • Water
  • Gas
  • Internet
  • Telephone

Trop Site RFP Available

The Trop Site RFP is now available until January 2021 for review and submissions. To learn more, visit stpete.org/trop.

Fit City 5K Virtual Glow Run

Healthy St. Pete presents the 4th Annual Fit City! This year’s Glow in the Park themed 5K will be a virtual race to support wellness initiatives in St. Petersburg.
 
You can complete the Fit City Virtual 5K anytime during October 4-10. The virtual 5K is a 3.1-mile distance that you can do with your family on your time in your neighborhood, in your home or at a local park while maintaining a safe physical distance. You can even split up the 3.1 miles over the entire week and walk part of it every day. Don't forget to sport your glow gear!

Register by September 21 to receive a free race T-shirt and glow kit.
 
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
  • $20 – early registration from August 1-8
  • $25 – regular registration from August 9 – October 10.

Proceeds from Fit City will support the Healthy Kids virtual programming, which encourages free virtual fitness and fun activities during out-of-school time, and will be used to provide Play Packs for children throughout the St. Petersburg community. The packs will include interactive sports equipment, activities and more.

Utility Rate Changes in the Works

Each year, utility rates and charges are evaluated and updated - this year included. New rates will go into effect on Oct. 1, 2020, pending City Council approval.
