The City of St. Petersburg Commission on Aging is a 15 member advisory board appointed by Mayor and City Council. The Commission relates issues of immediate concern regarding the welfare of it's senior residents to the Office on Aging for action. They have accepted the challenge to support the Florida Department of Elder Affairs "Community for a Lifetime" Initiative and sincerely believe that a Community for a Lifetime is a healthy community for everyone. It is a Community that can enhance the elder's independence, dignity and welfare and a community which offers interconnectivity and intergenerational awareness, education and opportunities promoting a healthy environment for everyone involved.
