The Lake Maggiore Environmental Education Center at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve provides interpretive programming on a variety of environmental and natural history topics and features the dynamic Ripple Effect exhibit, a large classroom, meeting space, and a gift shop. The Education Center is open from Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The park trails close one half hour before dusk. Boyd Hill Nature Preserve and the Education Center are closed Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children three to 16 and free for children under three. Annual membership is available through the Friends of Boyd Hill.
