at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve
PROGRAM/CAMP REGISTRATION:
Become and ADVANTAGE Member - Required for fee classes and camps.
City of St. Petersburg residents can purchase an annual ADVANTAGE Member Card for $10.00, which is valid from September 1 until August 31, at all Recreation Centers. If you are not a city resident, you can purchase an ADVANTAGE Member Card for $125.00 (prorated monthly) OR purchase a monthly membership for $12.50.
All programs meet or take place at the Lake Maggiore Environmental Education Center located at 1101 CountryClub Way S. unless otherwise stated. Boyd Hill Nature Preserve is closed on Mondays for maintenance.
Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's Day.
Tram Tours run every day except Monday at 1 p.m. and also at 10 a.m. on Saturdays. This tour is a great way to see the preserve. Learn about our history, alligators, gopher tortoises, birds and wild flowers. Cost: admission plus a $2.00 tram fee. Arrange your own Tram Tour for groups of five or more - no extra cost! Fall Camps - see camps
Jungle Boogie – Wednesday, 11:15 am- Noon
For ages 3 - 4, Each session begins with a story & continues with discovery walks, dramatic play, crafts or animal encounters, teaching your child about Florida's natural ecosystems, animals, and plants. Cost: $2.50 per child. Prepayment recommended to reserve a space. Parents are encouraged to stay.
Yoga - 4:30 p.m. Thursday
Our weekly Yoga program returns! Enjoy the beauty of the Preserve with a relaxing Yoga practice! Appropriate for all levels of physical fitness, this 60 minute Yoga class will help with a wide range of chronic & acute conditions. Because of the non-strenuous nature of Yoga's approach everyone can benefit. $8 per class or $28 per month
