Support Services consists of:
Raul Quintana - City Architect
Responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the development and implementation of a long range Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the City's leisure services facilities and real property. Analyzes projected need, current condition, and expected depreciation for leisure services facilities and administers long and short range capital improvement programs to maintain or upgrade facilities and property. Establishes budgets and schedules for CIP projects. Interacts with other City departments, consultants, architects, and engineers; and represents the department at City Council meetings. Supervises a staff of 29 employees.
Barbara Kelton - Capital Improvements Grants Coordinator
Manages and oversees the grant process for CIP projects. Identifies eligible projects in the CIP program for grants; prepares grant applications; and manages the grant administration and reimbursement process for approved grants. Prepares required financial reports and quarterly/bi-annual status reports for all grants; tracks grant expenditures; prepares requests for reimbursements; prepares and records restrictive covenants on all grant properties as required; and prepares close-out document packages for all grants.
Erin Johansson and Susan Horvat - Capital Improvements Assistants
Performs project start-up and close-out functions. Maintains budget/cost information on cost tracking sheets and encumbrance spreadsheets for each CIP project. Works closely with the Project Managers in monitoring budgets, costs, and administrative charges for CIP projects. Coordinates the At-Risk Construction Management process. Prepares purchase requisitions, change order requests, and receiving information for CIP projects. Finalizes fixed asset information for each CIP project at close out. Provides support to the grant administration process. Updates various project lists and reports.
Jeff Boreman - Application Support Specialist II
Reports to the City Services Administration Manager. Provides technical support for the daily operation of the department's computers, printers, scanners, other electronic equipment, and software. Responsible for troubleshooting technical problems and installing and maintaining equipment. Updates and maintains the department's GIS service area maps. Maintains the electronic work order system and the department's webpage on the City's website. Provides software training to staff.
