Specific areas of responsibility include land use planning, plan amendments and rezonings, preservation area administration, habitat restoration, long-range transportation planning and concurrency management. The Urban Planning and Historic Preservation Division staff serve as staff to the City's Planning and Visioning Commission and also coordinates with the Pinellas Planning Council, Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council.
