| The Development Review Services Division is responsible for the zoning-related review of site development and redevelopment. This review includes processing of site plans and special exceptions, with variances as requested, to the City's Environmental Development Commission (EDC). The EDC also hears requests for plats, vacations, lot line adjustments. This division also handles applications for signs, sidewalk cafes, alcohol beverage permits, adult uses, street closings, street name changes; and addresses appropriate uses in each zoning district, reviewing applications for certificates of occupancy and the setbacks for building permits. Development Review Services is staff to the City's Board of Adjustment, which hears requests for reinstatement of residential units, and requests for variances on residential property. At the customer service counter in the Municipal Services Center, staff from this division provide general information regarding zoning and issue residential driveway permits. The Development Review Services Division is headed by the Zoning Official. | |
