New Business Tool for Incentive Savings

To kickoff a prosperous New Year, St. Petersburg businesses now have a new tool to help them locate valuable tax credits, refunds, exemptions, and training grants.

The city of St. Petersburg’s Planning and Economic Development Department has unveiled a new online Incentive Lookup Wizard. It is designed to inform businesses exactly which incentive programs they may be eligible for, by simply answering a few questions.

The tool was created based on feedback from local business owners, community representatives, and elected officials, who serve on the Enterprise Zone's governing body and wanted a simpler way to determine eligibility for business incentive programs.

The new Incentive Lookup Wizard is simple to use, and provides business owners, or their representatives, with a report detailing the incentive programs they may qualify for, based on the following information:

• Business Location
• Industry
• Corporate Structure
• Expansion Plans
• Planned Equipment Purchases

The Incentive Lookup Wizard is located on the home page of www.StPeteShines.com.
