HR - Training Division
The Training Division of the City's Human Resources Department is dedicated to providing high-quality training and development services to support a highly skilled, diverse work force in providing outstanding service to its citizens and fellow employees.
The Training Division provides and administers:
- Professional Development training
- Computer applications software and technical training
- Leadership development
- Personal development
- Employee discounts
- Tuition Reimbursement
- Customized programs by request
The Human Resources Training Division offers workshops from Introduction to Windows to Leadership Development to an average of 3,400 full and part time employees. Needs assessment and evaluations are conducted on a regular basis to determine training goals and effectiveness of the training.
The Training Division of the Human Resources Department is also responsible for the facilitation of orientation sessions for new city employees. These sessions are geared towards acquainting the new employee with city policies, procedures, and benefits.
