"Stuff the Bus" Today at St. Pete City Hall - August 13

"STUFF THE BUS" SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE CONTINUES TODAY, AUGUST 13
St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman invites downtown businesses and employees to gather up school supplies they’ve collected and bring them to City Hall today. The big yellow school bus will be parked curbside in front of St. Petersburg City Hall, 175 Fifth Street North, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 13. Volunteers will be on hand to help sort and load the items onto the school bus.

St. Petersburg’s Deputy Mayor Dr. Kanika Tomalin, Pinellas County Schools Area Superintendents and President of the Pinellas Education Foundation Terry Boehm will be on hand at noon for a photo.

Through the St. Pete’s Promise school initiative, the city of St. Petersburg is one of three corporate sites serving as a drop off point for school supplies. More than 25 companies are participating in the 2015 Stuff the Bus school supply drive to help make sure students in St. Petersburg and Pinellas County are ready with the items they need to start the school year prepared.
