City and District Host Unveiling of the New Skyway Marina District Signage
ST. PETERSBURG, FL (May 20, 2016) – The City of St. Petersburg and the Skyway Marina District are set to unveil their new monument signage on Wednesday, May 25 at 9 a.m. The sign is located at the southwest corner of 30th Avenue and 34th Street South, immediately north of the Ceridian entrance. Attendees are encouraged to park at Ceridian, 3201 34th St. S.
"The Skyway Marina District has been working diligently on creating a sense of place for our community,” said Keri Melshenker, Executive Director of the District. “The three gateway signs, designed by Thomas Signs, are just the start to accomplish this goal. In the next few months, you will see more projects come to life like the medians down 34th St. S being redone with Bismarck palms and Florida-friendly fauna. Also, we are working with Duke Energy to create a lighting plan for the district's pedestrian lighting. Creating this sense of place is attracting business to come to the Skyway Marina District, like Kobie Marketing and Elite Watersports."
