Friends of Main Library Present Craig Runde February 21
St. Petersburg, Fla. (February 12, 2015) – The St. Petersburg Library System, in partnership with The Friends of Main Library, will feature Craig Runde, Director of the Center for Conflict Dynamics at Eckerd College, who will speak in the Main Library Auditorium, 3745 Ninth Avenue North, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 21. The program, sponsored by the Friends of the Main Library, is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Runde has written: “Conflict is inevitable in our lives. Yet most of us have never learned how to deal with it effectively…We get angry and lash out at others, which only makes things worse...New research has discovered ways that people…can address conflicts at home and work, and in the community.”
He is the co-author of Building Conflict Competent Teams (2008), Developing Your Conflict Competence (2010) and Becoming A Conflict Competent Leader (2nd Ed. 2012). Before coming to Eckerd College, Runde practiced law in Colorado and has taught at the University of Minnesota Law School and at Wake Forest University.
