Boyd Hill Nature Preserve Announces Winter Workshops

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (December 20, 2016) – A new year brings additional opportunities to enjoy the outdoors this winter at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S.

DIY Natural Paints - Learn about harvesting, making and using natural paints at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S., on Saturday, January 14, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. All materials are included, and artists are welcome to bring their own canvas and brushes. $10. Colors of the Season - Learn about harvesting, making and using natural paints with a guided hike and classroom activities for families at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S., on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from noon to 1:30 p.m. All materials are included, but artists are welcome to bring their own canvas and brushes. $10. Attracting Wildlife Workshop - Celebrate National Wildlife Week at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S., on Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 10 a.m. to noon. Nature Around the World - Looking to learn about nature around the world? International environmental educator Amalia Fernand takes campers on a tour of the world’s natural settings at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S. Create a comprehensive picture of world geography with songs, crafts and other activities. This week-long camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., from Monday, March 13, 2017 to Friday, March 17, 2017. $130.
