Mirror Lake Community Library Hosts An Evening with Author Cathy Salustri, February 13

St. Petersburg, Fla. (February 2, 2017) – The Friends of Mirror Lake Community Library and Keep St. Pete Lit present An Evening with Cathy Salustri at the Mirror Lake Library, 280 Fifth Street North on Monday, February 13. Seating begins at 5 p.m. with opening remarks and a lecture beginning at 5:30 p.m. Author reception and book signing will be held from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Cathy Salustri is the arts and entertainment editor at Creative Loafing Tampa and lives in Gulfport, Florida. She will be discussing her new book Backroads of Paradise: A Journey to Rediscover Old Florida. Cathy Salustri works out of Gulfport, but her love of Florida stretches across the state. Her travels take her on foot, bike, by boat, or by car to places the Interstate bypassed long ago, as well as those spots where natural beauty has survived the onslaught of overpopulation. She attended the University of Central Florida, and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Tampa before embarking on the adventure that is the Florida Studies Master’s program at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Cathy has written travel pieces for USA Today, Visit Florida, regional magazines and local press.

The Friends of Mirror Lake Library is a voluntary association of engaged, like-minded folks who want to support Mirror Lake Library through: volunteerism, fund-raising, and sponsorship of programs and services.
