Recreational Water Quality Results updated

St. Petersburg (August 3, 2017) --In an effort to keep citizens and visitors well informed about their swimming options, every Thursday, results from mid-week water sampling are posted on the St. Petersburg City website at

The latest results are posted on a user-friendly interactive map.

Florida Healthy Beaches Program Categories are:
Good = 0-35 Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water
Moderate = 36-70 Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water
Poor = 71 or greater Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water

Listed below are the results and Water Quality Category according to the Healthy Beaches Program for the Beaches and Lassing Park from the August 2nd  sampling event.

Lassing Park  32  Good

Maximo Beach  280  Poor

Northshore Beach  250  Poor

Spa Beach  36  Moderate

Maximo and Northshore Beaches are being retested and subsequent results will be posted as soon as they are available.
