Weekly Recreational Water Quality results updated

St. Petersburg, Fla.  (November 21/22, 2017) – The weekly Recreational Water sampling and testing has been completed by the on the near-shore waters along Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Note that the samples were taken earlier this week because of the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Listed below are the results and Water Quality Category according to the Healthy Beaches Program for Lassing Park and the Beaches from the November 20th and 21st sampling events. 

Lassing Park    28 CFU/100 ml     Good

Maximo Beach     4 CFU/100 ml     Good

Northshore Beach    58 CFU/100 ml    Moderate

Treasure Island Beach    4 CFU/100 ml    Good

While signs were posted on Tuesday regarding "poor" water quality at Northshore Beach, those signs have been changed to reflect the safety for swimmers at that location.
