Reclaimed Water leak stopped

St. Petersburg, Fla. (November 28, 2017) – A small in the city’s reclaimed service line leak was discovered near the intersection of Manatee Drive SE and Sunfish Drive SE on Monday evening (November 27, 2017).  This leak resulted in approximately 500 gallons of fully-treated reclaimed water (which is used by thousands of customers for lawn and garden irrigation) to spill into the city’s storm drain system.

St. Petersburg water Resources crews responded to the issue and have shut off service through this 1 ½” service line until the proper repairs can be made.

As a matter of course, this leak was reported to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and is being shared with city residents.
