Just in time for Christmas visitors, Water Quality results re-updated

St. Petersburg, Fla.  (December 22, 2017) – The weekly Recreational Water sampling and testing has been completed by the Environmental Compliance Division of St. Petersburg Water Resources Department on the near-shore waters along Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Listed below are the results and Water Quality Category according to the Healthy Beaches Program for Lassing Park and the Beaches from the December 20th and 21st sampling events. 

Lassing Park    4 CFU/100 ml     Good

Maximo Beach     12 CFU/100 ml     Good

Northshore Beach    20 CFU/100 ml    Good

Treasure Island Beach    4 CFU/100 ml    Good


The shore area along Lassing Park was re-sampled December 21st and subsequently showed good characteristics after higher levels of enterococci were detected in the December 20th sample.
