Marina Master Plan Open House

St. Petersburg, Fla.  (January 9, 2018) – The City’s Municipal Marina is getting a make-over.

Citizen and boater input on plans to take the facility through its next 50 years is being sought in an Open House Public Meeting on Thursday, January 18 from 5-8 pm at the St. Petersburg Sunshine Center (330 5th Street N).

The Master Plan for the Municipal Marina is being crafted to update and enhance the facility – which was designed and built in the 1960s and 70s.  Boater input has been sought for some time now as part of a Master Plan Survey.

The January 18 session is the second and final planned public meeting -- and will focus on reviewing the marina conditions, summarizing the regional marina market, displaying proposed new dock configurations and seeking input for the future of the marina.

Comments and suggestions will help the City in making appropriate determinations to successfully complete this plan -- helping improve boating conveniences and efficiency -- which will also dovetail with the City’s overall Downtown Waterfront Master Plan.
