Recreational Water Quality Results Updated
St. Petersburg, Fla. (March 1, 2018) – The weekly Recreational Water sampling and testing has been completed by the Environmental Compliance Division of St. Petersburg Water Resources Department on the near-shore waters along Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
Listed below are the results and Water Quality Category according to the Healthy Beaches Program for the Beaches and Lassing Park for the February 28th, 2018 sampling event.
Maximo Beach 4 Good
Northshore Beach 52 Moderate
Treasure Island Beach 4 Good
Lassing Park 100 Poor
Waters along Lassing Park have been re-sampled again today. Results will be posted tomorrow at http://www.stpete.org/water/waterquality.php on the “Recreational Beaches” layer of the interactive map.
All of these samples are taken and testing is being done in accordance with the water testing protocols outlined in the City’s Water Quality Report Card.
UPDATE: Results of testing on the sample taken 3/1/2018 at Lassing Park shows 4 CFU -- and "good" water quality according to the Florida Healthy Beaches Program.
