Recreational Water Quality Results updated

St. Petersburg, Fla. -- (May 25. 2018)  -- In an effort to keep residents and visotors well informed about their swimming and water recreation options, weeklly results from water sampling and testing are posted on the St. Petersburg City Website at http://www.stpete.org/water/waterquality.php.

Listed below are the results and Water Quality Category according to the Healthy Beaches Program for the Beaches and Lassing Park from the May 23rd and 24th sampling events

Lassing Park  28  Good

Maximo Beach  4  Good

Northshore Beach  8  Good

Treasure Island  4  Good

 As a reminder, Florida Healthy Beaches Program Categories are:

  • Good = 0-35 Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water
  • Moderate = 36-70 Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water
  • Poor = 71 or greater Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water

All of these samples are taken and testing is being done in accordance with the water testing protocols outlined in the City’s Water Quality Report Card
