Recreational Water Quality Results updated

St. Petersburg, Fla.  (June 1, 2018) -- In our continuing effort to keep residents and visitors well informed about their swimming options, every week, testing results from water samples taken in and around the City are posted on the St. Petersburg City website at http://www.stpete.org/water/waterquality.php

The latest results may be accessed on the user-friendly interactive map there.

Listed below are the results and Water Quality Category according to the Healthy Beaches Program for the Beaches and Lassing Park from the May 30/31 sampling events.

Lassing Park  4  Good

Maximo Beach  4  Good

Northshore Beach  36  Moderate

Treasure Island  12  Good

As a reminder, Florida Healthy Beaches Program Categories are:
Good = 0-35 Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water
Moderate = 36-70 Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water
Poor = 71 or greater Enterococci per 100 milliliters of marine water

All of these samples are taken and testing is being done in accordance with the water testing protocols outlined in the City’s Water Quality Report Card
