Recreational Water Results Update

St. Petersburg, Fla.  (June 21, 2018) -- The bacteriological results for the water samples collected yesterday at various recreational sites around the city, and also the City of St. Petersburg Municipal Beach at Treasure Island, have been updated on the interactive web map found at http://www.stpete.org/water/waterquality.php.

Lassing Park  32 Good

Maximo Beach  4 Good

Northshore Beach  520 Poor

Treasure Island Beach   4 Good

Since this bacteriological marker result for the sample collected June 20, 2018 at Northshore Beach exceeded the acceptable criteria for Enterococci as established by the Healthy Beaches Categories, signs warning swimmers have been posted along the waterway.  Notification has also been made to the Sailing Center, USF and The Harborage.

The waters near North Shore Beach have been resampled and test results will be available tomorrow.  Researchers will continue to sample and test until we are able to report satisfactory recreational water quality results.
