St. Pete is No. 4 in the Nation for Number of Bike-Friendly Businesses

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (August 7, 2018) – The League of American Bicyclists, the national bicycling and advocacy organization, has recognized 11 more St. Pete businesses with the Bike-Friendly Business (BFB) certification. This totals 32 certified bike-friendly businesses in St. Pete, ranking the city No. 4 in the nation.

The newly certified businesses are:

  • Coast Bike Share - St. Petersburg – (Gold)
  • City of St. Petersburg City Hall – (Silver)
  • City of St. Petersburg Municipal Services Center – (Silver)
  • City of St. Petersburg, The Greenhouse – (Silver)
  • Preserve the ‘Burg – (Silver)
  • The Bikery – (Silver)
  • Cycle Brewing, Inc. – (Bronze)
  • Pesky Pelican Brew Pub – (Bronze)
  • TapHouse 61 – (Bronze)
  • The Hangar Restaurant & Flight Lounge – (Bronze)
  • The Wheelhouse – (Bronze)

“Today’s announcement is another win for St. Pete, demonstrating that biking is good for workers, good for business, and good for sustainability,” said Mayor Rick Kriseman. “I encourage other St. Pete businesses to consider adopting Bicycle Friendly policies so they, too, can contribute to our growth as a healthy place to live, shop, work and play.”
