Intersection Changes force temporary lane closures on First Avenue North
St. Petersburg, Fla. (August 17, 2018) – There will be intermittent lane closures of First Avenue North at 13th Street next week (August 21-24) between 7 am and 4 pm.
This work is to remove the traffic signal at the intersection of First Avenue North and 13th Street. This intersection will now be a non-signalized intersection, with 13th Street being controlled by stop signs for north/south movement and First Avenue North becoming a thru roadway westbound. Pedestrian signals are being installed for crossing 1st Ave. N.
At least one lane will remain open during the construction process. 13th Street North will have intermittent closures on the same days and times.
While detours and modification of traffic patterns will be fully signed, the City of St. Petersburg recommends that drivers find an alternative route during the construction times.
