Beckye Simpson joined the city in 2002. She is responsible for the research, development, formulation and execution of the city's operating and capital budgets and long range Capital Improvement Programs.
She holds a bachelor's degree in management, and an MBA in quantitative methods from Florida State University. She is a Certified Government Finance Officer with more than 20 years of government work experience, including 13 in municipal budgeting. She is an active member of both state and national Government Finance Officers Associations.
