Beth Herendeen first joined the city in 1993 as an event coordinator at Tropicana Field. After several years in the private sector, she returned to the city in 2001 and was most recently director of the Downtown Enterprise Facilities Department. Appointed marketing director in 2007, she oversees marketing of the city, including communication with the media and the public, the city's Web site (www.stpete.org), government access television (WSPF-TV on cable channel 15 and broadcast channel 35), outreach programs, tourism/hospitality services, marketing and recruitment of major city events, and cultural affairs.
She holds a bachelor's degree with honors from the University of Florida. She is also a graduate of the Public Assembly Facility Management School in Oglebay, West Virginia and of Leadership St. Pete (class of 2004).
Beth is currently on the board of directors for Brookwood Florida, Inc. and is a member of the Florida Facility Managers Association and the International Association of Assembly Managers.
