City Auditor, Internal Audit
Bradley H. Scott joined the city in 1975 with the Engineering Department. He transferred to the Internal Audit Department in 1983 and became the city auditor (director of Internal Audit) in 2000. As city auditor, Brad oversees the operation of the Internal Audit Department which includes conducting financial and performance audits of city departments, programs and activities, as well as assisting management in enhancing operational efficiency citywide.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida. He has earned the professional certifications of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Florida Institute of CPAs, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the National Association of Local Government Auditors and the Government Finance Officers Association. He tutors through the Mayor's Mentors & More program at Bear Creek Elementary School.
