Clarence Scott, III joined the city in 1984. He oversees Parks, Recreation, Fleet Management, Golf Courses, Sanitation and the City Services Administration. Clarence previously held the positions of employment services coordinator, Community Affairs director, Water Resources assistant director and Parks director.
He holds a bachelor's degree cum laude from Savannah State University and possesses the Certified Park and Recreation Professional designation from the National Recreation and Park Association. Clarence is also a graduate of the N.C. State Park and Recreation Maintenance Management School and an active member in the Florida Recreation and Park Association.
Clarence is a board member of the Pinellas Opportunity Council and has been a mentor in Project P.A.I.R.S., Five Hundred Role Models and the Mayor's Mentors & More program.
