Cliff Footlick is a native of St. Petersburg and has served the city for more than 40 years in parks and recreation management. Cliff began his career in the Recreation Department, working in aquatics, athletics, community centers, adult centers and special event management. In 1989, he transferred to the Parks Department as a manager and was instrumental in the development of the Green Thumb Festival, the city's first dog parks, the Tocobaga Disc Golf Course and the beautification of the Florida Interstate highway through St. Petersburg.
Cliff is a certified Recreation and Parks Professional, Arborist and a licensed Public Pesticides Applicator. He has an AA degree from St. Petersburg Jr. College and attended the University of South Florida. He is a graduate of the North Carolina State Parks and Recreation Maintenance Management School, Revenue School and the University of Georgia Executive Development Program for Recreation and Parks Professionals.
Active in the Florida Recreation and Parks Association, Cliff has served as the district treasurer and program chair, and has received numerous awards of recognition from FRPA. He also received the Leisure Services Outstanding Service Award twice in his career, and has been awarded recognition by the American Red Cross, the Sunshine State Games and Keep Pinellas Beautiful, just to name a few.
Cliff is married and has three grown children and seven grandchildren. He enjoys hiking the Appalachian Trail, participating in horticultural and environmental, sports and family activities.
