Dave Metz re-joined the city of St. Petersburg in 2003. He was appointed Deputy Mayor, Neighborhood Services in 2006 by Mayor Rick Baker. He is responsible for several city departments including Neighborhood Partnership, Codes Compliance Assistance, Housing and Community Development and Libraries. He also is responsible for the Mayor’s Action Center and the N-Team. Prior to that, he served as director of the Downtown Enterprise Facilities Department, providing management of the Port, Airport, Marina, Coliseum and Sunken Gardens, as well as contract administration for The Pier, Mahaffey Theater at the Progress Energy Center for the Arts, Tropicana Field and Progress Energy Park.

Dave is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s in public administration. He has participated in many professional organizations within the Tampa Bay area.
