Patricia J. Anderson
Water Resources Director
Patricia J. Anderson was promoted to director of the Water Resources Department in November 2001 after serving as assistant director since 1992. The Water Resources Department is responsible for the city's potable water system including treatment and distribution, the wastewater system including collection and treatment, and the reclaimed water public access urban irrigation system.
Patricia has a bachelor's degree in bacteriology and a master's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin. She is a registered professional engineer in Florida.
Patricia is a member of the national and Florida section of the American Water Works Association, the National Water Environment Federation, and the Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association (FW&PCOA). She is a member of the Florida Water Environmental Association (FWEA) Utility Council and Continuing Education Committee and was recognized by the FWEA with an Outstanding Service Award in June 2001. She is an instructor for the FW&PCOAs continuing education program. Patricia is a volunteer for American Stage's Shakespeare in the Park annual event and a mentor through the Mayor's Mentors & More program.
