Dave Metz has enjoyed a 36-year career in government which began with the city of St. Petersburg in 1974. After a number of roles with the city, he became Pinellas County's Director of the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport in 1999. He returned to St. Petersburg in 2003, and currently as Director of Downtown Enterprise Facilities, Dave is responsible for the management and administrative oversight of the Mahaffey Theater/Progress Energy Center for the Arts, Tropicana Field, The Pier, Al Lang Field/Progress Energy Park, Municipal Marina, Port, Albert Whitted Airport, Coliseum and Sunken Gardens.
He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's in public administration.
Dave is a member of the Northeast Exchange Club and participates in the Mayor's Mentor Program at Lakewood High School. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for Tony Jannus and has also participated in a number of professional organizations in the Tampa Bay area.
