Transportation and Parking Management
Joe Kubicki joined the city in 2003 following a 30-year career in transportation planning and neighborhood design issues, including transportation consulting work with such projects as Tropicana Field and the Pinellas Trail. As director of this department, Joe oversees short and long range transportation planning, including neighborhood traffic calming programs, bicycle and pedestrian planning, and garage and on-street parking. He is a liaison with regional, state and federal transportation agencies.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, and has done graduate work at Georgia Tech, Florida State University, the University of Florida and Northwestern University.
Joe is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and American Planning Association, and actively participates in several working committees, including the US-19 Transportation Task Force, the Pinellas MIS Transportation and Land Use Committee, the Pinellas Assembly Transportation Task Force, and the Tampa Bay Partnership Transportation Roundtable.
