Michael Connors started his career with the city as the Engineering Director in 1987. He is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Cleveland State University, and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College.
He serves on the City's Fire Pension Board and Consultant Selection Committee in addition to Tampa Bay Estuary Management Board. He is an active member of the Florida Engineering Society, American Public Works Association, Florida Association of Stormwater Utilities, and Florida Lake Management Society.
