Real Estate and Property Management Director
Bruce Grimes joined the city in 1996. As director of real estate and property management, he is responsible for the acquisition, disposition and management of real property and real property interests and rights, as well as the implementation of real estate related development goals and plans of the city. Since joining the city, he has overseen and provided the strategy, tactics, and leadership in negotiations for key real estate projects such as the Dome Industrial Park, Bay Walk, Tangerine Avenue Redevelopment, and the sale of Weeki Wachee. In addition, Bruce is responsible for the management, operation, maintenance, security and space planning of 225,000 square feet of municipal office space in the Municipal Services Center, parking garage, the historic 1939 City Hall and the historic, newly restored, 1902 City Hall Annex.
Mr. Grimes attended Sinclair College, and has over 30 years of management and transactional background in real estate.
He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, and has participated in many other professional real estate organizations such as ICSC and NAIOP.
