Susan P. Ajoc
Community Services DirectorSusan P. Ajoc joined the city of St. Petersburg in 1990. As Community Services (formerly neighborhood partnership) director, she and her department staff are liaisons with the city's neighborhood and business associations. She also oversees neighborhood planning and implementation; organizing new and reorganizing existing associations; neighborhood partnership matching grants; marketing neighborhoods through the Guide to Neighborhoods and The HUB; and coordination of volunteer efforts (e.g. Scrubbin da Burg, Carefest and faith-based initiatives).
She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Florida and a master's in urban and regional planning from the University of Florida. She is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). She received the city's Hats Off Award for her contribution to Operation Commitment and a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Florida's Urban and Regional Planning School.
She is currently involved with the American Planning Association, American Institute of Certified Planners, Neighborhoods USA, the Florida CPTED Network, and the Florida Neighborhood Conference Planning Committee. She mentors through the Mayor's Mentors & More program.
