Transportation and Parking Management Director
Evan Mory joined the city of St. Petersburg in June 2005 and was named director of the Transportation and Parking Management department in May 2014. Evan currently oversees short- and long-range transportation planning, including neighborhood traffic programs, bicycle and pedestrian planning, as well as garage and on-street parking. He is a liaison with regional, state and federal transportation agencies.
Evan started with the city as Parking Manager, where he oversaw all on- and off-street parking operations, including a $6 million budget. He brings a total of 19 years experience in the industry including 17 years in management with public and private transportation and parking systems.
He also has been serving as the primary city contact for special event transportation planning and operations, as well as the lead with PSTA and St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership regarding trolley operations in the downtown area, including the Central Avenue Trolley and The Looper Trolley.
Previously, during 10 years in the private sector, Evan worked with the downtown parking program dating back to 1999 and played a lead role in opening the MidCore/BayWalk, now known as the MidCore/Sundial, parking garage in November, 2000.
Evan holds a bachelor's degree from Eckerd College. He serves on the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce Transportation Task Force, The Looper Group’s Board of Directors, and is a member of the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership and Florida Parking Association. He also is a certified St. Pete’s Promise mentoring program participant.
