A+ HOUSING

The A+ Program is an initiative designed to attract and retain teachers in our city schools. The program provides assistance for the purchase of a home for qualified instructional personnel teaching in a St. Petersburg school. Ten percent of the loan is forgiven each year that the participant remains employed with the school system and teaching in St. Petersburg.

STUDENT LOAN FORGIVENESS

The Federal Student Aid program has created the Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program. Under this program, certain teachers in designated low-income schools may qualify for $5,000 to $17,500 in loan forgiveness.

TEACH PINELLAS

This innovative program is aimed at recruiting new teachers from a variety of professional fields.

As a member of the TeachPinellas program, you will pursue your teaching credential through a Pinellas County Public Schools program, attend training at a comprehensive institute prior to teaching, get paid a full teacher's salary with complete benefits, and have access to additional incentives for new teachers.

TeachPinellas is committed to providing Pinellas County with a diverse group of inspired and committed teachers who will work tirelessly to increase student achievement and help our children find academic, and life, success. TeachPinellas is designed for individuals who are seeking socially meaningful work and who are looking for a new challenge.
