A quality education provides students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and work habits needed to become productive, fulfilled citizens. Education in Pinellas County is within the purview of the Pinellas County School District. However, the Midtown Strategic Planning Initiative supports educational opportunities for the area by working with the school board in planning for the expansion and development of educational facilities, supporting the Mayor's Mentors and More program, St. Pete Reads and other community educational programs.
