(February 28, 2008) - The public is invited to join Mayor Rick Baker, other elected officials and city staff for grand opening festivities at Anytime Fitness, 900 Central Avenue, on Tuesday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m. This 24-hour co-ed fitness franchise offers state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, free weights, private showers/dressing, personal training and more. Members have reciprocity to all Anytime Fitness Centers nationwide. Currently only one center is located in St. Petersburg. However, there are 13 in the Tampa Bay area with more expected in the near future. St. Petersburg’s Anytime Fitness is in the process of expanding their space for additional activities such as yoga, Pilates and private sessions. Anytime Fitness has developed a Corporate Wellness Program for the city of St. Petersburg Human Resources Department and already, about 50 city employees have become members.
