THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY AFFECTS TRASH PICKUP DAYS; SOME CITY FACILITIES CLOSED THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
St. Petersburg, Fla. (November 14, 2012) - During the Thanksgiving holiday week, the only change for residential trash collections in St. Petersburg is those normally made on Thursday will be made on Wednesday. Some city facilities will be closed to the public on November 22 and 23. The chart below outlines what facilities are open Thursday and/or Friday:

Residential Trash Pick-Up:
During the week of November 19 to 23, St. Petersburg's residential trash collections normally made on Thursday will be made on Wednesday. Residential collections on Monday, Tuesday and Friday remain the same. Brush sites will be closed on Thurs., Nov. 22 but will be OPEN regular hours on Friday.
Other Services:
The West Community Library at St. Petersburg college campus will close early on Wednesday, November 21, at 6 p.m. and remains closed Thursday, November 22 through Sunday, November 25. The Pier is open Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pier restaurants including The Columbia, Cha Cha Coconuts and Jonny Reno's will be open later hours on Thursday, November 22.
