Historic Property Incentives

Financial incentives are available to owners of historic properties who rehabilitate buildings and sites within the City of St Petersburg.

Historic Preservation Map

Federal and local tax incentives encourage the rehabilitation of historic buildings. Both owner-occupied homes and buildings used to produce income---stores, offices, apartment buildings, for example---may be eligible for tax incentives. In addition, the Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) program is available in the City and various grants programs are available through state and Federal resources.

Historic Preservation Grants are state and/or federal funds from the U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service and are administered by the Florida Division of Historical Resources. These matching grant programs provide financial support for preservation projects.
