The Graffiti Removal Program was started in 1995. Since then, the number of reported graffiti cases has declined. In 1995 we have received over 2200 cases of graffiti and in 2006 have responded to under 600 incidents.
Our goal is to respond within 48 hours of notification since a swift response/removal discourages repeat incidents. We photograph and document all cases in a database which is shared with the SPPD for arrest or/and restitution action.
