Please note the following important changes to this year's application process. All organizations applying to the City must provide services to the residents of St. Petersburg and shall comply with the following:
- Agencies that provide HOMELESS PREVENTION SERVICES or HOMELESS SERVICES (please refer to Glossary for definition) to: THE FAMILY, UNACCOMPANIED YOUTH, AND ADULT POPULATION.
- THE HIGHEST PRIORITY RANKING WILL BE GIVEN TO AGENCIES/PROGRAMS WHO PROVIDE SERVICES TO FAMILIES; THE SECOND HIGHEST PRIORITY RANKING WILL BE GIVEN TO AGENCIES/PROGRAMS WHO PROVIDE SERVICES TO UNACCOMPANIED YOUTH AND THE THIRD RANKING WILL BE GIVEN TO AGENCIES/PROGRAMS WHO PROVIDE SERVICES TO ADULTS.
Of the $426,000 in the City's Social Action Funding budget, $340,000 will be available for the competitive bid process.
This year the Homeless Storage Program will be available for other bidders. Interested agencies should be located near the downtown vicinity.
The proposals are due on Monday, June 27th by 4:00 p.m. They are to be delivered to: St. Petersburg City Hall, 175 5th St. North. Late deliveries will not be accepted. A Bidders & Technical Workshop for all interested agencies will be held on Tuesday, June 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Room 100 at City Hall. Please bring a copy of the Application, Guidelines and Glossary to the workshop. The Application Review Process Calendar can be found on Page 1 in the Guideline booklet. Changes to this year's process are highlighted in yellow.
