Would you be interested in installing solar hot water for less money?
The City of St. Petersburg's Sunshine City Solar program aims to find vendors who would install solar-powered hot water heaters for a substantial savings by contracting at a discount for bulk rates.
For example, a typical solar hot water installation costs $5,000. If enough home owners participate, the city will seek vendors to install solar water at a discounted price of approximately $4,000 per home.
With Progress Energy rebates and federal tax credits, you could receive solar hot water for as little as $2,415.
