Community Planning & Preservation Commission
The Community Planning and Preservation Commission (CPPC) shall act as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) in accordance with the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act to review proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, Future Land Use Map and Zoning Map, and any other element in which the LPA shall review and recommendation is required.
Services Provided
- Act as the Local Planning Agency and Land Development Regulation Commission
- Review proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan
- Review Future Land Use and Zoning maps
- Review historic and archaeological preservation, proposed historic designations, certificates of appropriateness and any other actions
- Make recommendations as required to the city
Historic Preservation
The CPPC shall act as the Land Development Regulation Commission (LDRC), in accordance with the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, to review and evaluate those portions of the Land Development Regulations pertaining to historic and archaeological preservation, proposed historic designations, certificates of appropriateness and any other action to be performed pursuant to the Historic and Archaeological Preservation Overlay Section. The CPPC shall also perform any other duties required by the city of St. Petersburg's Certified Local Government Statutes awarded by the State.
