Internships & Apprenticeships

The City of St. Petersburg partners with local organizations to provide internships and employment opportunities to young St. Pete residents. Learn more and apply for an internship on our Youth Employment Opportunities page.

The Public Works Apprenticeship Program offers paid on-the-job training to workers in specific positions in the Water Resources Department and Stormwater, Pavement, and Traffic Operations Department. Workers learn a variety of valuable job skills while receiving paid training. Working as an apprentice can lead to a fulfilling full-time job with the City. Look for jobs with "Apprentice" in the job title when applying.
