Golfers Raised $2,500 for Children's Dream Fund

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (December 18, 2018) – This past Saturday, Dec. 15, 184 golfers teed up for the 32nd Annual St. Nick Open at Mangrove Bay and Cypress Links Golf Courses. The event included Santa, contests, raffles and prizes, but most importantly $2,500 was raised to support Children’s Dream Fund.

Christmas comes only once a year, but you can play St. Pete municipal golf courses year-round (closed Christmas Day). More information and tee times at

The City of St. Petersburg operates three municipal golf courses: Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links and Twin Brooks. All three courses are open to the public and vary in difficulty from beginner to experienced levels. Mangrove Bay Golf Course offers a driving range, practice putting green, pro shop and café. Beginners can take advantage of lessons at Mangrove Bay and Twin Brooks Golf Courses.

The Children’s Dream Fund was founded in 1981 with the single purpose of fulfilling dreams for children ages 3-21 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, and who live in West Central Florida.
