Mayor's Pet-Friendly Business Applications Now Available

St. Petersburg, FL (June 2019) – Businesses in St. Petersburg are now invited to apply to participate in the Mayor’s Pet-Friendly Business program. This program is part of the St. Pete PAWS initiative, which strives to make St. Petersburg a place where pets are happy, welcome and healthy.

Participating businesses will receive recognition in the pet-friendly map at, a window decal, a shareable social media graphic and additional resources.

Businesses that serve food are still required to obtain a Dog Dining permit through the Planning and Economic Development Department. More information and application can be found at

Participating businesses will need to fulfill certain requirements to ensure safety and enjoyment for all patrons and pay a yearly fee of $25.
